The final frontier…

Kind of English…
…You’ll probably wonder about the link between TWILIGHT series and this blog. Well, of course, again and inevitably, it’s all about…. TOURISM.
…and particularly about POP-CULTURE TOURISM. Meaning traveling to locations featured in famous movies (
… And, as starting more than a year ago, the TWILIGHT virus has made more victims than any other of its relatives (animal/human/online ones), it’s natural to have also produced the first TWILIGHT tourists, and, of course, the object of our interest... Just like the young lady in the pictures below, who has ecstatically re-done the itinerary of NEW MOON.
…..Beyond sensitive vampires and pop culture tourism, I personally enjoyed (re) discovering some of the music I like, from the play lists proposed by the writer: especially Muse, Placebo, Blue October Audioslave etc.
.. And, coming back to POP-CULTURE TOURISM, it seems that nowadays vampires are competing with yesterday’s intergalactic explorers. And who doesn’t know the line about ” Space. The final frontier…” (probably a lot..)?
…..STAR TREK is another famous movie franchise that produced thrills and fans for more than 3 decades, also extracting from the black anonymity a little town in
…Lacking bloody vampires or Marys, but mentioned in the movie as sharing the same birth town with the character Mr. Spock, the inhabitants of Vulcan have found a way to capitalize this advantage and attract Star Trek-tourists. They’ve created a Star Trek -themed tourism station and an annual convention (cryptically..) named VulCON: Spock Days/Galaxyfest.
And this is could be a response to those blaming a media rebirth of the old, famous Romanian Dracula, in these times, when vampires are so in and the need for bloody news so high...
